Presenting home as mental space for intimacy, When a line holds intimacy appropriates the languages of making often associated with the domestic, in order to create a space within the exhibition space. Haunted and invaded by hybrid bodies, these space dwells at the threshold of intimacy, between public and private, where apparently familiar elements are presented in a dramatic and artificial manner. The sense of lightness, communicated by the suspension of several elements contrasts the symbolic weight of domesticity, just as the use of weightless plastics opposes both the objects on the floor and the use of metals. The net, which is traced through the space, defining it, and that reflects the complex (inter)connections that make up our world, is echoed in the drawings that formally explore the grid and the idea of crossing over; they reflect a search for intimacy’s place in a complex reality, through maps of proximity, which are defined by these crossing lines.
